Date and time Saturday 24 Apr 2021, 3:00pm
Jason Sandy, mudlark, will recount the story of the Doves Type and share some favourite mudlarking finds, in a live Zoom talk.
For over 100 years, the Doves Type lay at the bottom of the River Thames after T.J. Cobden-Sanderson discarded them off Hammersmith Bridge to prevent Emery Walker from ever using them again.
Over the past two years, mudlark Jason Sandy has found some of the Doves Type. At this talk Jason will  tell the extraordinary story of the Doves Type and share some of his favourite mudlarking finds from the River Thames, spanning from prehistoric to modern times.
Entry to this talk is by donation in surpport of the Emery Walker Trust.
