Setting up a secure space at home for confidential work

There's a provision in many business agreements and non-disclosures called ‘the locked room’ clause. It mandates providing a secure space for materials that are confidential, dangerous or delicate. With many now working from home, how do we comply with the locked room requirement? Like the classic locked-room mystery with a twist, but instead of a crime with no way out, it’s about making sure there's no way in. Typically, such a private space is designed into a working office, but in the work-at-home world of COVID-19, some office exiles need to implement a locked room protocol at home. Locked room clause The basic idea is that confidential materials, information, documents and hardware often need to be brought in and kept secure. In many companies, a space is designated as a locked room and these can be inspected by the other party in the nondisclosure agreement or confidentiality clause. Implementing such a room at home is less of a problem if we're not dealing with kids, teenagers, guests, etc., for other households a locked door is irresistible. Homeworking.
