Kew House Senior

Kew House Senior School was founded by qualified teachers Maria and Edward Gardener in 2013 and has established a reputation in the local area. It is situated near the River Thames by Kew Bridge and has almost 600 students including a Sixth Form. It is one of four schools that form the Gardener Schools Group. The Group consists of two preparatory schools: Ravenscourt Park Preparatory School (London, W6), established in 1991 and Kew Green Preparatory School (London, TW9), opened in 2004. Maida Vale School (London, W9) is a sister school to Kew House and opened in September 2020. The basis of the timetable is six taught hours per day plus the extra-curricular programme which includes academic, non-academic and sports-based clubs. In Years 7-8, each pupil explores a wide range of core subjects including: Spanish, Design and Technology, Music, Food Preparation and Nutrition and Art along with the Humanities, Maths, English and Science. Students also study French, Latin and German, and enjoy one full afternoon of Games per week.
This wide range of subjects enables pupils to make informed choices about exam options as they move further up the school. Options for GCSE take place towards the end of Year 8 and managed as part of a careers guidance programme that support pupils in making informed subject choices.
In Years 9, 10 and 11 the core curriculum remains in place alongside an extensive range of challenging and stimulating subjects. The three-year programme enables some students to ‘fast track’, if appropriate. Sixth Formers choose from a range of subjects most of which they will have studied either at GCSE or as part of the Individuals in Society (IS) course. www.kewhouseschool.com 020 8742 2038 6 Capital Interchange Way, TW8 0EX
